A slide—often called a “bowl”—is the part of a bong or pipe where you pack your herb. It fits into the downstem and is removed when you’re ready to clear the smoke. Most slides are glass-on-glass (GoG), but some use rubber O-rings and come in sizes like 9mm or 12mm.
